Job Details
3 man traditional independent small animal family practice in rural Worcestershire needs a new veterinary surgeon to start as soon as possible to replace retiring partner. Experience preferred but new graduates very welcome – we are very good at bringing on young vets, with full support.
We support each other and enjoy ongoing case discussions between us. Relaxed feel with time to give to clients when needed. Good balance of consultations & surgery every day.
Great team of nurses/reception and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Large gardens for walking inpatients; also to be enjoyed by members of staff if so wished. Based in a quiet location with ample parking for clients/staff.
We pride ourselves in being a very good first opinion practice. Our main focus is to make life fun for ourselves and our clients as well as providing affordable, dependable care for their animals. This is reflected in the fact that clients are driving over an hour to join us.

We are a small friendly veterinary practice located in the village of Astwood Bank, Redditch where we put animals and their owners first.
With a dedicated team of 3 vets, 3 nurses and 2 receptionists we aim to provide a comprehensive service with referral to specialist centres when required. We care for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, birds and small mammals.
Mrs McGettigan has been practicing veterinary medicine in Redditch for over 45 years. The surgery was previously located in the centre of town but moved over 20 years ago to a newer purpose built premise in Astwood Bank. The current premises are in a quiet location which has ample parking for clients.
There are several large 'walk in' dog kennels for all sizes of dogs, and several cosy cat kennels in separate areas, so the cats can get some peace and quiet!
For inpatients that stay with us a bit longer there are large gardens to take daily walks in.
Inside we have 2 large consulting rooms, one of which has outside access, for those dogs that are a little less 'sociable'!
We have a separate theatre and preparation room, and a separate room for imaging with x-ray and ultrasound.
