We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our successful, recently refurbished practice in New Ferry, Wirral. 

By joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listening and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working in sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values of being trustworthy, caring, and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, and harnessing our one-team culture.

You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

This is a full-time role working 4 days per week with 1:3 half weekends

Salary and benefits

Salary package up to £65,100 dependent on experience

Medivet vehicle

CPD allowance plus 3 days of CPD leave

RCVS, VDS, and BVA fees paid

Relocation allowance available for those moving over 50 miles

Skills and experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.

You must be pet and client-centric and have excellent communication skills. 

We are proactive about your ongoing development. 

Branch:

Our New Ferry practice also works very closely with our smaller Wallasey practice. The role will be predominately based at New Ferry but work at Wallasey is required and equally shared between the team.

We have fantastic clients and we are active in the local community.

Varied caseload  - potential for significant surgical and medical cases depending on clinical interests. Significant and established, laparoscopic and orthopedic surgical caseload. 

Experienced nursing team and Practice Manager.

You will be working within a beautifully newly refurbished, well-equipped practice including digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, hematology and biochemistry analyser, laparoscopy kit.
