The role:

We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our wonderful team at Medivet Islington Cross Street in North London. 

We are two vet teams led by David our Branch Partner who has been with the practice for ten years. David has a special interest in cardiology with a passion for feline and canine medicine. Our advanced technology also helps us understand and diagnose heart conditions and David takes patient transfers from across the region.

Our ideal candidate will be interested in medicine as well as competent with basic surgery. We would welcome a certificate holder (internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology) but are also happy to consider a more surgical profile, with the view to give our successful vet exclusivity, with minor consultations. 

Full-time salary package up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience to include:

Medivet Islington is a busy and well-established practice, we've been part of the Islington community for over 40 years and are proud to have a loyal client base.

We have a fantastic, well-established nursing team made up of three qualified nurses, a student nurse, and a patient care assistant. 

The practice is well equipped with an x-ray machine with the digital developer, ultrasound for both Abdo and cardiac, ECG, haematology, and biochemistry machine, and multiparametric.

We see 30-40 consults a day from regular vaccinations to cardio transfer cases. We have approx. 5-6 procedures a day, including neutering, dental, occasional more complicated surgeries, and lots of ultrasounds both cardiac and abdominal.

We feed into Medivet Kensington 24-Hour for all out-of-hour care, managed by our dedicated night team, And, we have an ambulance service in the region to support with hospitalising patients.
