What’s on offer?

Clock house are offering a salary between £22,000 and £27,000 FTE depending on experience. There are no regular night duties, only a requirement to cover occasional night nurse holiday, approximately 7 nights per year. You’ll be paid an on-call rate for every night covered. We welcome full or part time applicants, flexible working hours and/or job shares will be considered. We’d love to hear from new grads and second year students as well! A full-time role will require you to work a 40-hour week, you’ll be taking part in a 1:5 weekend and bank holiday rota with time in lieu given the same week. Shifts are between 7.30am and 8.30pm rotating through wards, theatre, prep and clinics. You will join the nursing team in providing excellent patient and client care. Undertaking all aspects of nursing care with schedule three procedures encouraged.

About Us

Clockhouse is a friendly, warm and staff orientated practice which is located in the beautiful Cotswolds, close to Cheltenham, Bristol and Bath. We work closely together interdepartmentally holding regular meetings. We have a dedicated wellbeing team and take a proactive approach in supporting our nurses’ personal wellbeing and career development. The wellbeing team run a monthly reward program that celebrates the team’s hard work with a certificate and present! There’s always someone available to have a hot drink and chat with, particularly on those challenging days.

About the Team and Culture.

They’re a teaching practice, where nurses are encouraged to provide clinical coaching for our students. We actively support our team in pursuing areas that are of interest to them and offer generously funded CPD. Our fantastic clinical team consists of 10 vets, 9 nurses, 5 VCA’s and students. We regularly meet up outside of work to enjoy each other’s company in social events! Recently we enjoyed our summer BBQ, which was complete with a great food, drinks and even a bouncy caste!  We are a high standard first opinion team that fully works up medical cases and performs advanced surgical procedures e.g. cruciate repair, perineal urethrostomy and laparoscopic procedures. The hospital is well equipped with laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, radiography, echocardiography and onsite lab with brand new biochemistry and haematology machines. The team includes certificate holders and those currently working towards certificates. We are supported by a local referral hospital nearby where CT and advice is readily available.

Applicant Requirements

You must be a Registered Veterinary nurse or a second-year student who is dedicated and passionate about animal welfare and client care. Someone who is forward thinking, proactive and works well in a team as well as having the ability to work independently when required.
