The Role

Lamond Veterinary Clinic in Livingston, Scotland are undergoing a much-anticipated expansion and are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

We offer flexibility in terms of the ratio of operating and consulting based on your interest, our caseload is large and varied with many longstanding, loyal clients. Working closely with the Scottish SPCA and other local charities you will also have opportunities to meaningfully contribute to animal welfare through surgeries, consultations, and legal casework.

 

Rota

Working 40 hours per week (Flexible work hours available)

Across 4 days per week

1: Saturdays (9am-4pm)

No OOH as this is covered by Vets Now

 

Salary

Up to £55,000 negotiable D.O.E.

Relocation allowance of up to £5,000

 

About Us

We are a thriving practice with an exceptional reputation. We are passionate about staff development and training at every level of the team and invest in all interests.

The site is currently undergoing a state-of-the-art refurbishment and expansion and we are very well equipped with surgical and diagnostic kit. Facilities include: two theatres (with mono and bipolar surgical electrocautery units), double dental suite (with radiography), ECG, ultrasound (with capacity for echocardiography), endoscopes, digital radiography, and a Class IV laser. A high proportion of our clients seek gold standard treatment.

Our team includes 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 12 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Veterinary Care Assistants, and 9 Support Staff. We have several Vet and Vet Nurse certificate holders and several members of our team undertaking them. We fully support and fund further certification.

 

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a confident all-round vet surgeon with a positive attitude. The ideal candidate would be level-headed with excellent communication skills. Candidates need to be confident performing all aspects of first opinion practice. This role is not suitable for a new/ recent graduate. Candidates must be MRCVS registered.
