Are you a passionate RVN looking for your next career move? Would you like the opportunity to work in a large multidisciplinary referral hospital?

We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic RVNs to join our night nursing team to work specifically supporting the ICU facility!

Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists is a large multidisciplinary referral hospital providing veterinary referral services across the South of England including London and the Thames Valley. Our services include Emergency and Critical Care, Orthopaedic surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, and Diagnostic Imaging. The hospital is an ISFM gold feline clinic and was awarded the BVHA design award for an outstanding working environment. We are part of CVS (UK) Ltd, the largest provider of integrated veterinary services in the UK; the referrals division currently operates eight referral hospitals in the UK and Ireland.

Most recently, we have been developing a brand new, state of the art ICU facility. Successful applicants would predominantly manage the cases in the ICU overnight. The facility includes a separate feline area, purpose built kennelling and high dependency area. State of the art equipment includes an ICU ventilator, high flow nasal oxygen machine and oxygen kennels; this ensures we are able to provide for and support a multitude of critical patient needs.

The role:

This is an exciting role incorporating inpatient care, emergency and critical-care nursing and provision of anaesthesia cover in certain circumstances.
  • The role is particularly suitable for those with a passion for critical care nursing and anaesthesia. You will be working in a dedicated team of night RVNs, supported by a veterinary surgeon and specialist-led referral team.
  • The team includes two diplomates in ECC and three diplomates in anaesthesia.
  • We support further professional development with a number of our nursing team having postgraduate qualifications.
  • You will receive competitive remuneration and a generous benefits package.
  • Full time, flexible rota pattern working unsociable hours - we would also welcome and consider part time applications

What you will get in return:
  • You will receive a competitive salary for your vital work.
    • A comprehensive bonus and pension scheme.
    • 5 weeks annual leave and bank holidays.
    • Paid professional fees.
    • A funded and supported CPD package.
    • A range of other employment benefits such as childcare vouchers and ride to work schemes.
