Job Details

The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with out-of-hour care within the hospital for the surrounding Medivet clinics. Here, you will work alongside a dedicated experienced night nurse, as well as having on-call vets and nurses available should you require additional support during your shift.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for emergency and critical care and will thrive on working at gold standard in patient and client care. All our practices share the same software, so you will always have access to your patients’ history.  

The role offers flexible working, giving you an excellent work life balance that includes working 7 nights on, 14 nights off rota.  

7 nights on – 14 nights off. Annualised Package Below:

Skills and experience:

  • You must be a registered Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS.
  • This role may suit an ECC Certificate holder or someone who is working towards this - full funding will be given.
  • You must be confident working sole charge, with the ability to make sound clinical judgement. Night shift experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also have great communication skills and a confident can-do approach.

Branch:

The branch is situated on the outskirts of Wokingham, a bustling market town with plenty of shops, restaurants, leisure facilities and excellent choice of schools. With its newly renovated train station and location less than 40 miles from London, Wokingham is perfect base to explore the south of England.

Supported and fully staffed day team of friendly vets, nurses and receptionists. The day team consists of five vets and visiting cardiologist twice weekly.
