The Role

Bishop Hendry and Edwards are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic team! This position would be ideal for a vet who is confident working in first opinion care, or a new graduate looking to gain more experience in a well-established team. No two days are the same at our busy practice and the successful candidate will have several responsibilities including carrying out consultations and routine surgeries.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours across 4 days per week, with 1:3 Saturday mornings, 1:3 Fridays off and a Monday off after working a Saturday. However, we are happy to accept applications from part-time candidates too. No out of hours. We offer a starting salary of £38,000 depending on experience.

About Us

We are a friendly, small animal practice based in the small market town of Newport, with a lovely canal for lunch break walks and lots of quirky coffee shops to enjoy. Our well-equipped branch is based right on the high street with excellent access to the surrounding amenities and a loyal client base. Our dedicated team is made up of 3 vets and 4 nurses, supported by our 4-strong, fantastic reception team and 2 support staff, with a certificate holder in dermatology. We are a close-knit and friendly bunch and tea and cake are always on offer for break time.

Applicant Requirements

Our ideal candidate is a vet with some experience working within a clinical setting and confidence in being in sole charge on occasion. You will be dedicated to providing excellent service and put animal care at the heart of everything you do.
