Shires Vets, established over 70 years ago, is a mixed animal practice serving Staffordshire and the surrounding counties in the Midlands, with sites in:

Your role and responsibilities

Due to ongoing success, we are looking for a part-time qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse. This position will be based in Stone surgeries.

The part time vacancy is 20 hours and working days to be decided. You will be required to work 1:7 weekend and 1-2 late nights per month till 11pm. No over nights.

Shires Veterinary Practice is privately owned and has been providing comprehensive veterinary care for over 70 years, serving Staffordshire and the surrounding counties in the Midlands.

Our team of experienced and dedicated veterinary practitioners and nurses are based at three main practices at Stone, Eaton Park and Eccleshall with branches at Gnosall and Loggerheads.

We provide our own out of hours, emergency service, around the clock ensuring assistance can be provided as and when clients need it. Our in-house laboratories gives us access to rapid test results (often within hours) allowing early diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

From routine health examinations to detailed surgical procedures, utilising and employing the latest research and developments, our team are experienced in handling a large array of pets from dogs, cats and rabbits to chickens, goats and bearded dragons.
