We are recruiting!!

Due to our Head Nurse, Sarah, moving on to pastures new, we are looking for someone to come and join the GVG family.

The Mandeville Veterinary Hospital has been offering veterinary care in Northolt for over half a century and became part of the Goddard Group in 1999, offering many different services under one roof, from vaccinations and health checks to consultations, diagnostic tests, and a range of medical and surgical treatments.

This senior role will play an integral part in the running of the Mandeville Hospital, supporting the Hospital Manager with the coordination of our great nursing team, as well as coordinating the availability of the hospital vet surgeons

We would love to find someone to join us, who enjoys all aspects of the Head Nurse role. From supporting our vets in surgery to coaching the students to ensure they have the opportunity to develop the necessary skills.

The Head Nurse will be organised in their approach and a great communicator and enjoy variety in their day dealing with routine tasks to emergency care as no two days are ever the same!

We offer excellent pay and a very supportive working environment. Our industry leading benefits package includes increasing holiday allowance, enrolment on our SimplyHealth Cashback Plan, which provides cashback on many routine medical costs such as dental care, physiotherapy, opticians, and chiropractor fees. Our employee assistance programme is focused on colleagues’ needs, plus generous shopping, and leisure discounts, fully funded CPD, and paid BVNA and RCVS registration fees.

Goddard Veterinary Group offers opportunities to all levels of talent within the veterinary industry — we care for our people as much as we do for our pets. If you are a strong team player looking to share our philosophy of practising to the highest clinical standards and providing excellent client care, then why not get in touch? Goddard Veterinary Group was born in 1952 and since then we have grown our business across London with 44 neighbourhood practices, three 24-hour hospitals, our own nursing college, and expanding contact centre.

We have a great reputation for looking after our staff; over 20% of our team have been with us for 10 years or more and we are proud of our many 5-star employee reviews on Indeed. At the heart of it all, we really value our team. We have created a Colleague Forum to listen to our peers’ views and we have run many virtual Town Hall meetings throughout the pandemic giving us the opportunity to run live polls and Q & A sessions, ensuring we are making the right decisions for our people. All our senior managers are Mental Health First Aid trained and we offer Wellness Plans for all our new starters, so you know you are in good hands.

We are a forward-thinking organisation with big ambitions. We have developed our own successful contact centre to help ease reception pressure in our busy clinics and allow us more time to chat with our clients about their needs. This year we have a big programme of refurbishments and we are continually reviewing our clinics’ equipment needs to help make them the best they can be.

The bright lights of the city are easily accessible from all our locations, giving you the opportunity to enjoy London at its fullest, whether that be a stroll in leafy parks, meeting people in buzzing bars or having a night out in Theatreland — working with Goddard Veterinary Group can open many doors, in more ways than one.
