We are seeking an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon/Graduate to join our successful team at Medivet Pontefract.

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing our one team culture.

You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

We offer a 4 day working week and have our own dedicated 24 hour centre at Thurnscoe which is 30 minutes away and has a CT scanner for further diagnostic options.
Support for those wanting to work towards certificate level with full funding available. this role is full time working 39 hours a week, 1:6 weekends and NO OOH.

The practice comprises 3 consult rooms, 2 surgical theatres, and with renovation plans being finalised will have a new improved layout coming that will aid high standard of clinical care.
Has digital X-ray, ultrasound and in house lab equipment with up to date analysers and external lab support and services.
