About Us

Sprinz and Nash Veterinary Surgeons is a long-established Veterinary Hospital in the lovely rural market town of Thame. We are very easy access to both Oxford and London and are situated in the beautiful countryside of the Chilterns in the South-East of England. Thame has an expanding population of young families, and we are in the catchment area of several outstanding Primary and Secondary Schools. Our Practice is recruiting with the aim of maintaining the very high clinical standards already set and giving the rewarding work life balance expected from the modern RVN.

We offer a well experienced and interactive team of lovely Vets, Nurses, and support Staff. As we are a training Hospital you will be encouraged in the training and assistance for our Student Veterinary Nurses. You will have the ability to further your own clinical interests which will be actively supported.

Our Hospital provides separate dog/cat wards, isolation facilities, on-site laboratory, digital x ray, dental x ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy and enjoys the standards expected from an RCVS Veterinary Hospital.

Our fantastic team is made up of 7 full time vets, 6 full time RVNs, 3 VCAs and 3 student nurses. We are expanding our Veterinary and Nursing teams to provide an excellent work/life balance. You will be based at Thame and be interacting with our Vets, Nurses, Student Nurses, and Auxiliary Staff and assisted by our support staff, some of whom have been with us for very many years. We have an active social presence in the area (present situation permitting) and are currently planning our fund-raising charity event for this year. The team also regularly meets up for social occasions, currently we’re organising our summer social event in which will be an entertaining evening of food, drinks, and music! Staff welfare is something that’s extremely important to us, all staff members have access to a dedicated mental health first aider that works on shift. There’s always someone to have a coffee and a chat with, especially on the tougher days!

Don’t just take our word for it, here’s what the team have to say about life at Sprinz and Nash:

“I have been the owner and lately, clinical director, of Sprinz and Nash for nearly 40 years. I love the combination of experience and enthusiasm we have from our fantastic staff - from recent graduates through to two certificate holders and I am only one of several long-standing members of staff.

The practice is really supportive of new ideas and technology, and I am proud to be part of the IVC family.” – Joe, Clinical Director

The reception area is the part of the practice you will be most familiar with. This is where we greet and check in our clients/patients and reunite you with your pets. Our friendly receptionists are always there to help and answer any questions you might have.

Consultation Rooms

If you have ever brought your pet in to see a vet you will also be familiar with our consulting rooms. We have two veterinary consulting rooms and a nurse consulting room. These are each equipped with all the small instruments our vets may need to carry out clinical examinations and primary care treatment. Each consulting room is also equipped with a computer so the vet will be able to access your animal’s medical record easily.
