Clinical Director

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Director to join My Vets in Clayton-le-Dale, Blackburn as we enhance our leadership team! At My Vets (Myerscough), one of our flagship groups at IVC Evidensia, we pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality care to our patients and clients and the Clinical Director is instrumental in delivering that ethos. We are looking for a forward thinking and dynamic clinical leader with a real passion for developing people. 

This is the perfect springboard for an ambitious Vet Surgeon with leadership experience, looking to make a big impact in a successful and respected veterinary group. You will work in partnership with the Practice Director and will be able to really focus on the clinical aspects with the support of our Senior Vets 

You will have overall responsibility for circa 25 Vet Surgeons across 19 practices in the Lancashire area, with the freedom to shape and restructure the group as you see fit – you really will have the opportunity to put your own stamp on things here!  We care about our people so a vital component of the role is to lead and develop our team of veterinary surgeons, ensuring everyone feels well supported. Work life balance is important to us so there is some flexibility on how your hours are worked. The role is 40 hours per week however you can condense your working week from 5 to 4 days maximising your days off. We are a Vets Now host practice and are in partnership with them providing the out of hours service therefore you will occasionally be required to provide some cover.

Who are we?

We are a 19-branch practice situated across Lancashire. We have 6 operating branches in addition to our main RCVS accredited hospital – all our branches are accredited by the RCVS under the Practice Standards Scheme.  Our core senior team is made up of certificate holders in Medicine, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and Surgery and we actively encourage and support Certificate study. We have a great team of 25 Veterinary Surgeons, 15 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 5 Animal Nursing Assistants. 

We are a well equipped multi-site practice plus CT scanner, Endoscopy, Digital X-ray, Dental radiography, and multiple surgical suites as well as an onsite hydrotherapy centre. The area has great transport links and is within 1 hour of Manchester and Liverpool airport and you can be in London within 2hrs on the train. Lancashire has a good mix of rural vs city, and we boast some of the best hidden gems of walking country and a great selection of traditional pubs
