Veterinary Surgeon - Huddersfield

Full or part time small animal veterinary surgeon – Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Position available for someone who would like to work in a small team,  performing great first opinion clinical work, but also benefitting from a large network of colleagues with varying interests and abilities. A more hospital based role, where great first opinion work can still be performed, but also the opportunity and caseload to support a more surgical or medical bias The opportunity to do a bit of both of the above roles also exists.

About Us

We are an independent practice with a great team, who are hard working, vibrant and committed to excellent clinical care. We are fortunate to exist in west Yorkshire, a beautiful part of the world with easy access to Mancester and Leeds. All our branches have ultrasound, x-ray, and surgical facilities. Our hospital has a ct scanner, visiting mri, laparoscopic and arthroscopic equipment, an exotics ward and 24-hour staffing. We have a visiting dermatologist, an onsite oncology referral service, visiting ulrasound specialists and vets with varying certificates.

The Role

The role can be for part time or full time. We have vets that work 4 and a half days a week, down to vets that work 2 full days only. Everyone takes an equal share on the Saturday rota – this will be 1 in 4 or 1 in 6 depending on where the role is primarily based. Saturdays finish at 12pm, 2pm or 3pm depending on frequency. On call is optional. As described, the role can be branch or hospital based, or involve a bit of both.

The Package

The package includes a cpd allowance of approximately £3000 over 2 years, fully funded certificates, an £8,000 car allowance (car can be provided if required) and all the usual professional fees paid.
