Registered Veterinary Nurse

The Role

We are looking for a full time or part time Registered Veterinary Nurse, with a keen interest in Consulting, to join our friendly vet team in beautiful North Yorkshire. This an exciting opportunity for an experienced small animal nurse, as we would like you to be involved in developing and shaping our client service provision.

Rota and Salary

Work/ life balance is a top priority here, we are flexible and happy to discuss your needs to see how we can support you and your life in terms of shift patterns. There is no OOH or on call and we provide protected breaks throughout the day.

Salary of up to £27,000 FTE depending on experience.

About Us

We are located in the beautiful market town of Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire, with great access to the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors, the Howardian Hills, the City of York and Harrogate. Local transport links include the A1 and A1M. Due to expansion we are currently refurbishing our premises to include additional consulting space.

About the Team and Culture

We are a 3 vet, 1 nurse, 6 nursing assistant, 3 receptionist team. Having recently changed from providing mixed clinical services to small animal only, we are looking for an enthusiastic nurse to develop and support our small animal client service provision. The right candidate will have a keen interest in providing a nurse consultation service and to promote excellent client care. If you enjoy clinical work, the role can accommodate a mix of nursing duties, if you are 100% client focused, we are very happy to keep you within that area. You will have access to plenty of continued learning and development.

Applicant Requirements

We would like you to be able to make clients feel welcome, relaxed and supported. You will not only provide a knowledgeable standard of clinical advice and services within the nursing remit, you will be able to create really positive relationships on behalf of the practice with clients and their pets. Experience of consulting is essential, as is a positive, empathetic and caring personality. We need you to enjoy working with clients and providing great customer service, whilst delivering sound clinical advice in line with correct medical standards. If you enjoy a mix of clinical and consulting work, this can be accommodated.
