The role:

We are looking for an experienced registered veterinary nurse to join our team at Quarrington as we progress the practice to a 24-hour hospital.

The purpose-built practice has a good caseload both medical and surgical and has an experienced team that provides lots of support. This is a perfect opportunity for a veterinary nurse who would like to be a key player in helping a practice develop and grow into the 24-hour Medivet hub practice for the area. You will help support SVNs, PCA, and CCAs within the team. There is an opportunity to be a clinical coach supporting SVNs within the region.

You will be able to work on your own or as part of a team and to be able to use your own initiative. You’ll have a friendly and positive attitude and want to progress and expand your knowledge and skills further. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas.

This is a permanent full-time position, covering 40 hours per week however part-time can be discussed. You will also be part of a weekend rota, covering 1:4 weekends.

Starting salary of £30,000 PA

Key accountabilities:

Branch:

Medivet Quarrington is a lovely purpose-built practice, with large prep and theatre areas that consist of 2 dedicated sterile theatres, a non-sterile theatre, and a dedicated X-ray room. They have a separate dog, cat, and exotic ward.

The practice is well equipped with the hope we can expand to CT or MRI in the future.

We have a lovely, supportive team who are very dedicated to moving the practice forward. The team consists of 3 Vets, a head nurse, a student nurse, an RVN, a patient care assistant, and a client care assistant.
