The role:

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our successful, well-established Dearne Valley hospital.

As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working in sole charge or as part of the wider team. You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

The role is working 4 days per week and 1 in 6 full weekends.

Skills and experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.

Branch:

Medivet 24 hour Dearne Valley hospital offers well-equipped facilities including digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, video otoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology, and biochemistry analyser, bone kit as well as a full ex-lap kit including suction and diathermy. You will also have access to our state-of-the-art onsite CT scanner and mobile MRI.

Dearne Valley is a 24-hour purpose-built facility with 3 large consulting rooms, 2 theatres, a large prep area, internal lab facilities, and large learning and office spaces.
