The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at St Mary's Veterinary Surgery, Tamworth. The role will include a mixture of consulting and surgery in our small animal general practice with occasional sole charge.

We are ideally looking for 2 vets to join us, working 4.5 days per week with 1:2/3 Sat mornings. We have a Family-sized house, close to practice on offer for the appropriate candidate/s. This is the perfect opportunity to join our fantastic team and work alongside our friendly and supportive nurses!

The salary for the role is between £30,000 - £70,000 depending on experience.

About Us

We are a close-knit practice with a historically low turnover of staff, we are situated in a thriving Midlands town with good transport links. Equidistant between Birmingham and Peak District, offering both the busy city and beautiful rolling hills. Our facilities are RCVS approved and we are equipped with a range of equipment including a digital x-ray, in house lab, ultrasound and laser surgery.
We have a fantastic reputation locally, and the fact we are closed to new client registrations is a great testament to that!

The best part of our practice is our friendly and dynamic team, currently, here at St Mary’s, we have 1 Veterinary Surgeon, 4 registered veterinary nurses, 1 student veterinary nurse, a dedicated Practice manager and a veterinary care assistant. We will be able to provide ample support to our newest member, with encouragement for growth and development.

Applicant Requirements

MRCVS required for this role; experience is preferred but not essential. We would prefer a candidate with a vocational approach with a clear passion for the work we do. If you are a dedicated vet with great communication skills and a positive attitude, we would love to hear from you!
