Job Details

Veterinary Surgeon required to join our friendly and experienced team at Gower Veterinary Surgery in Swansea.

We are a primary care practice for small animals, which established itself amongst the Swansea community, providing care for thousands of pets every year. Being RCVS accredited, we are dedicated to continuously improve our quality of care and service. We know that owners consider pets to be a member of the family and that is why we work hard to provide the very best veterinary care possible.

We are a modern practice with a good range of equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy (and rigid endoscopy), Ligasure, full orthopaedic kit and dental radiography. We have two theatres and a strong team assisting each other to provide the very best care to our patients and their owners.

We have meeting days once a month where we block off consultations and meet as a team. This allows us to share information and ideas – we promote active case discussion between vets. We also time given for individuals to focus on projects they want to work on, or the time is used for personal development.

Due to our ever-expanding caseload, we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join us. You will join a team of progressive and knowledgeable Vets – with multiple certificate holders. It would be great if you have an orthopaedic bias, however, this isn’t essential.

We offer time off in lieu of any overtime worked and give associates opportunities to take on additional paid responsibilities, we also run an employee of the month scheme and practice book club in our spare time.

About Us

Gower Vets is a veterinary practice which has established itself amongst the local community in Swansea and now provides care to thousands of pets each year. They know as well as anyone that clients consider pets to be a member of their family and that is why the whole team at the practice works hard to provide the best veterinary care services.

Veterinary Surgery for the Community

Gower Vets underwent a major building transformation in 2010 which enabled them to build on their high standard of service and develop that even further. The refurbishment enabled them to build on their current facilities and offer even better care the pets they were treating.

Our clients value the services that we offer and the care that we provide to their pets. We have a car park on site, so we are easily accessible for owners when they bring their pets into practice.

In 2018 we joined Linnaeus Group to further enhance our practice and make it a truly community veterinary surgery.
