The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join us at Field Vets! You will oversee general veterinary surgeon duties including consultations and surgery.

We have a flexible shift pattern for 25-40 hours per week, if full time, you will work 9 hour day shifts between 8:30 am – 6:30 pm with one hour for lunch. You will be required to work 1:6 Saturday morning surgeries, but there is no out of hours required.

Salary depending on experience.

About Us
We are a busy, friendly first opinion practice in central Newport, with a varied caseload. Our site has 5 consultation rooms and 2 theatres as well as a dental suite and x-ray room. We have all the usual toys including laparoscopic equipment, digital dental radiography, ultrasonography, separate dog and cat kennels and multi-parameter monitors.

Our friendly team is made up of 6 vets and supported by 6 nurses and 3 receptionists. We have one internal medicine certificate holder, with an interest in ultrasonography and dermatology and one of our nurses holds an anaesthesia certificate. We encourage personal development including gaining certificates and CPD, this will be funded along with all IVC benefits.

Applicant Requirements
MRCVS. We are looking for a candidate that can work well within the team in a sometimes-fast paced setting, who is able to show initiative and has a passion for a high level of patient and client care.
