Graduate Veterinary Surgeon

The Role

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Graduate Veterinary Surgeon to join Mearley Veterinary Group!  Build your Brilliant future with IVC Evidensia.

The team are looking for a newly graduated Vet to stay long term at the practice, gaining certificates or progressing into leadership is very much encouraged. This is a predominantly small animal role, but some equine work can be included with the role if required. Accommodation is available if needed.

40 hours per week, 1 in 5 weekends, No OOHs.

About Us

The practice is RCVS accredited and clinical standards are exceptionally high with 3 sites seeing a mix of 95% Small Animal and 5% Equine. Well-equipped with full diagnostic and surgical facilities, incorporating in house lab, diagnostic ultrasound, digital radiography, dental machines, and endoscopy.

The rota has good mix of consulting and operating sessions, vets attend all surgery premises each week, which allows for continuity of cases seen and the whole team will be available to support and guide you through your first 2 years in practice.

During your spare time, there is lots for you to enjoy locally! The practice is based in a picturesque location making outdoor activities such as dog walking, hiking, running or horse riding even more enjoyable! If you prefer the bigger cities, we are also located next to great link roads to Manchester and Yorkshire.

The team consists of 6 Vets and a mix of RVNs, SVNs and VCAs and admin team. The team have a certificate in Veterinary Radiology and interests including Orthopaedics, Equine and Small Animal Surgery.

Work/life balance is important to the team, and they regularly assist and donate to local charities and are on call for local events.
