Joining our national network of Veterinary Surgeons at Medivet offers exceptional opportunities for career development while enjoying a very competitive salary package. We’ll also look after you with a company vehicle or vehicle allowance and accommodation allowances. A generous CPD allowance is also designed to drive your progress, balanced by 5-week annual holiday allowance (FTE). We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

As a Lead Veterinary Surgeon in Medivet, you will be entitled to our attractive commission scheme where you will be rewarded for practice growth under your leadership. You will also have the opportunity to become a branch partner in the future.

Skills and experience:

Although not mandatory, the ideal candidate would have some experience in being a lead vet or clinical director in the past and be capable of leading a large team of two other vets and nine members of support staff. You will be confident in your consulting skills and have excellent client management and communication skills.

The ideal candidate would also have a minimum of 5 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.

You will be working within a well-equipped practice including digital x-ray, ultrasound, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, hematology and biochemistry analyser, and full ex-lap kit including suction and diathermy. All out-of-hour care is managed by a local Medivet hospital, where you will also have access to CT and MRI.

This is the job for you if you want to progress in your career and work with a team with a great culture.

What are you waiting for? If this is the role for you, if this is what you see as the next step in your brilliant veterinary career, if you have excellent interpersonal and client communication skills and are ready to lead a fantastic team to success, then do not hesitate and apply today!
