Registered Veterinary Nurse - Twickenham, London

The Role

We have an exciting position available for a proactive, enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and progressive small animal veterinary practice in leafy Twickenham. The general nursing duties will include theatre work, in patient care, nurse clinics and general housekeeping. The areas of responsibility are shared within the nursing team.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday with absolutely no OOH! We will also consider flexible working patterns as well as part time applicants.

The salary is up to £30k DOE + Welcome Bonus.

About Us

Twickenham Veterinary Surgery is based in Twickenham which is a suburban town where we have access to some lovely cafes, restaurants, and parks. Our Surgery lies on the River Thames and is 10 miles west of Charing Cross, 2 miles south-east of Hounslow, and 2.6 miles north-west of Kingston upon Thames with access to some great transport links. We have excellent facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitor, endoscope, laser, a dedicated nurse’s consulting room and we take pride in the work we do.

About the Team and Culture:

We have six Vets, one with a certificate in internal medicine, one with a certificate in cardiology, and one who does acupuncture. We currently have two full time Vet Nurses, three part time Vet Nurses and one Student Nurse. We also have seven full time support staff. We are a passionate team and enjoy putting customer care and staff well-being at the top of our priority list and we thrive on customer delight. Overall, we have a very friendly, down-to-earth, supportive team with lovely clients, and we work very closely with the local animal charities. We have a no blame culture and like to discuss cases and constantly aim to improve our protocols.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse who wants to work as part of a progressive team and who is willing to help build on the nursing services that we can offer our clients. We would also consider part time RVNs, flexible working pattern requests or a student nurse in their second or third year. It is essential that the candidate will be a team player, proactive, caring, compassionate and passionate about their profession. A good sense of humour would be a bonus.
