Joining our professional personable team in our Washington practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

In this diverse and dynamic role, you’ll be an RCVS Registered Nurse with small animal practice experience, you put high standards of patient care first and can demonstrate how you’ve worked with empathy and demonstrated initiative when needed. You also understand not only your role but also the capabilities of PCA’s and student nurses, and are eager to help colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge.

The role is working 40 hours per week with 1 in 4 weekends on a 12 month fixed term contract.

We also offer relocation allowances should you move more than 50 miles from your current home address. 

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Key accountabilities:

We are looking for a friendly and supportive Veterinary Nurse to join our team of dedicated veterinary professionals on a fixed term contract of 12 months to cover maternity cover.

The ideal candidate will offer the highest standards of clinical and client care and be willing to provide valuable peer support to colleagues if needed.

Skills and experience:

You must be a Veterinary Nurse who is registered with the RCVS.

Branch:

Washington Clinic is a thriving long established, RCVS Accredited Small Animal General Practice. made up of a passionate and friendly team of 4 vets, 3 RVNs and 7 support staff including a dedicated Practice Manager.

Facilities include 3 consult rooms, theatre, imaging room including digital x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy, large dedicated dental suit with radiography, separate dog and cat/exotic wards, the only practice in the North East to offer laser surgery. This is a busy branch with a large client base where no two days are like the other. The caseload varies from routine consultations and neuterings to more complex surgeries, endoscopic procedures and advanced dentistry.
