The Role

Milford Veterinary Hospital are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join us on a full-time basis. Responsibilities will include client consultations, surgery, and other clinical duties to keep your day varied. This role would suit a confident Veterinary Surgeon who may have had experience of sole charge although this is not essential.

The role will be 40 hours between 8am-8pm over 4 or 5 days a week depending on your preference. You will not be required to work weekends or out of hours.

Salary up to £47,500 depending on experience.

About Us

We are a friendly RCVS accredited small animal hospital in picturesque Surrey with our own dedicated out of hours service. We have separate cat and dog wards, in-house laboratory, and laparoscopic equipment. We also have a cardiology referral clinician in practice to offer insight and support to those who share this interest. We have been awarded outstanding in all 6 RCVS awards and pride ourselves on providing gold standard care to all our clients.

About the Team and Culture

We have an established team of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses including students and nursing support. We have a cardiology referral clinician with a cardiology certificate who is keen to invest in those interested. We also have our own Out of Hours Vets, one with an ECC certificate, again with the support on offer should this be an interest. We are a friendly and supportive team who work closely together, for example with inclusive ward rounds three times a day to ensure the best patient care.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a confident candidate who enjoys a mix of surgery and consulting and enjoys being part of a supportive team. Some sole charge experience may be of benefit, but it is not essential. We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with a positive can-do attitude and an active team player.
