The role:

Due to an internal move, we are recruiting for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our well-established Islington Liverpool Rd practice in North London.

Islington have a great team and this role is well supported by our Office Manager and Regional team. Our ideal candidate will have two years of post-qualification experience, although previous work as an HVN is not essential.

We are seeking someone with leadership qualities, approachability, and a passion for getting the best out of people!

Salary and hours:

• - Starting salary £32,500 per annum
• - Hours 40 per week with 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends
• - £750 CPD allowance with 2-days CPD leave and in-house CPD available

Key accountabilities:

As a Head Nurse and Clinical Coach, you will develop and support your direct reports as well as taking action to create a positive environment that results in stable retention for your branch.

You'll take pride in the delivery of exceptional clinical quality and care, encouraging a progressive clinical culture. And, working with your regional team to ensure Medivet policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to by all of your team.

You'll work closely with the Lead Vet, Office Manager as well as our wider teams to ensure the general smooth running of your practice, from Practice Standards to Health & Safety.

We welcomed Medivet Islington Liverpool Rd to the Medivet family in 2018!

We are a busy, well-established branch with a bright, spacious interior. The team is made up of 3-Vets with HVN (that's you!) 2 RVNs, SVN, 3 PCAs, an Office Manager, and a Reception team. We are active in the local community and have fantastic clients, majority insured, who want the best for their pets!

The practice is well-equipped with digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser, bone kit as well as a full ex-lap kit including suction and diathermy.

Islington Liverpool Rd feeds into our Kensington 24-Hour Hospital for all out-of-hours care, managed by our dedicated night team and where patients can be hospitalised - we also have an ambulance service to transport patients.
