The role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to come and work in a friendly and well-established practice, Medivet Boston.

Our dedicated, professional, and friendly team is looking for an RVN to join them and help continue to deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting and putting patients and clients first. 

In this diverse and dynamic role, you’ll ideally be an RCVS registered nurse with small animal practice experience, display high standards of patient care demonstrate working with empathy and initiative when needed. Working as part of the team we are looking for someone who understands not only their role but also the capabilities of PCAs and student nurses and is eager to help colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge whilst expanding their own.

We encourage and fully support further development including certificates if desired.

Starting Salary of £30,000 PA.

Key accountabilities:

You will be helping a well-established team with general duties such as assisting veterinary surgeons with their medical and surgical duties including monitoring of anaesthesia, assistance with the handling of patients, nurse consultations, and overall responsibility for nursing of in-patients under the direction of the veterinary surgeon, client care on all aspects of the work at the branch. You will also have an opportunity to take part in minor procedures if you desire.

You will be part of a rota system covering the following shifts which cover the practice opening hours of 8 am-7.30 pm.

8am-4.30pm

8.30am-5pm

9am-5.30pm

11am-7.30pm

Skills and experience:

  • - You must be a registered veterinary nurse with the RCVS

Branch:

Medivet Boston has recently been refurbished and is looking great. It has all of the expected equipment, including onsite ultrasound, digital x-ray, and laboratory equipment. We have a full range of veterinary services and facilities. As well as our in-house services at Medivet Boston, you’ll also get access to all the services available across the entire Medivet group, which include MRI and CT. The practice is situated in a lovely historic busy market town, it is also close to the coast, Lincoln city and beautiful Lincolnshire wolds. Lincolnshire is known for its award-winning schools.

We have an outstanding and friendly team consisting of two vets, HVN, RVN, PCAs, SVN, and CCA, who are all extremely supportive and very welcoming!
