Job Details

We are currently seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team at our newly refurbished 24 hour hospital, Alder in Liverpool. This candidate will have a strong interest in Medicine and will either want to work towards a certificate or already has started. We can offer full support with certificates with full funding and buy outs of current certificate. 

You will receive medical referrals from your colleagues in the hospital and our friendly vets in Medivet practices in the area.

You will be interested in assisting your colleagues with medical cases and furthering the team's medical knowledge. You will work with the Leadership team onsite including a Branch Partner, Practice Manager, Head and Deputy Head nurse and the regional team to develop the hospital to progress the medical capabilities of the practice. You will play an integral part in the development of our junior colleagues.

This role is full time comprising of a 4 day working week and weekend work is one in every 6 weekends, both Saturday and Sunday 9am to 7pm.

- Salary Package up to £74,100 D.O.E 
- £1500 CPD allowance with 3 days’ CPD leave
- VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
- 5 weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays

We can offer buy-out of existing certificate clawback clause for the right candidate.

We can also offer a relocation package, this will be based on individual circumstances and distance

Skills and experience:

MRCVS

>2yrs UK experience

Certificate holder in medicine or strive to achieve

Branch:

Alder 24 hour hospital has recently undergone a refurbishment and has facilities such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, in house lab, endoscopy, laparoscopy and a CT

The hospital sees a varied caseload and is a training practice for nurses and vets training on our Graduate Development Programme. The practice is a 24-hour Hospital and is the main centre in the region.
