About us:

Medivet is a community of passionate veterinary professionals committed to providing truly exceptional care. We’re set on building something extraordinary: creating the most forward-thinking and innovative place in the veterinary industry.

We’re always looking for people who aspire to stand out in their field, and it’s this vision and enthusiasm that forms the foundation of how we work.

We provide ongoing support to our teams, both in practice, online, and through our dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from our advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for night veterinary surgeons to join the team at our Quarrington practice in Lincolnshire, as we progress the practice to a 24-hour hub.

This purpose-built practice in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside is a perfect opportunity for a veterinary surgeon who would like to be a key player in helping this practice develop and grow whilst developing new, or expanding existing, skills.

This is a permanent full or part-time role (but can also be offered on a long or short term basis) working from 18:30-08:30, various shift patterns can be accommodated including 7 on 7 off (full-time) 7 on 14 off, and 7 on 21 off (part-time).

This role could suit international candidates looking to work on a fly-in fly-out basis on a 7 on 21 off shift pattern as the practice is based within traveling distance from both East Midlands and Doncaster airports, accommodation can also be provided on-site if required.

Salary package of up to £85,000 PA (pro-rata for part-time) including:

  • - Accommodation Allowance
  • - Company Vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • - CPD allowance
  • - Payment of RCVS, VDS & BVA fees

Employee benefits:

  • - Relocation package of up to £2000
  • - 3 days paid CPD leave per year
  • - 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum
  • - 4-day week plus 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekend
  • - Pension scheme
  • - Paid sabbatical after five years’ service
  • - Funded Certificate opportunities
  • - Annual pay reviews
  • - Additional paid leave for exceptional attendance
  • - Colleague purchase scheme
  • - Enhanced maternity/paternity leave
  • - Hapibenefits – Receive a range of discounts on your shopping, entertainment, and meals out
  • - 24-hour access to wellbeing and employee assistance program

As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal emergency practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working in sole charge with a support team to assist you. Sharing our values of being trustworthy, caring, and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, and building trusting relationships with your colleagues and clients.

Further education and development of colleagues are actively encouraged and certificates can be supported for the successful candidate. At Medivet Quarrington you will be working with an experienced team that provides lots of support.

You must be a Veterinary Surgeon registered with the RCVS.

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK. With current Covid19 regulations, we will offer relocation and quarantine support for entering the UK.

Branch:

Medivet Quarrington is a lovely purpose-built practice, with large prep and theatre areas that consist of 2 dedicated sterile theatres, a non-sterile theatre, and a dedicated X-ray room. They have a separate dog, cat, and exotic ward.

The practice is well equipped with the hope we can expand to CT or MRI in the future.

We have a lovely, supportive team who are very dedicated to moving the practice forward. The team consists of 3 Vets, HVN, SVN, RVN, PCAs, and CCA.
