The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for registered veterinary nurses to join us at our Quarrington practice in Lincolnshire as we progress the practice to a 24-hour hospital. 

The purpose-built practice in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside is a perfect opportunity for a veterinary nurse who would like to be a key player in helping it develop into the 24-hour hub practice for the area whilst growing experience and skills alongside it.

This is a permanent full or part-time role, various shift patterns can be accommodated including 7 on 7 off, 7 on 14 off, and 7 on 21 off.

Salary package of up to £36,229 PA

At Medivet Quarrington you will be working with an experienced team that provides lots of support. You will already have good experience gained in small animal emergency practice. You’ll be competent in inpatient care and assisting with emergency surgery and confident working sole charge with a support team to assist you. Sharing our values of being trustworthy, caring, and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, and building trusting relationships with your colleagues and clients.

Key accountabilities:

You will be helping an experienced team with all aspects of emergencies therefore you will need to be competent and confident with emergency triage, assisting during surgery, and emergency patient care.  

Skills and experience:

• - You must be a registered veterinary nurse with the RCVS and hold a clean, full driving license

Branch:

Medivet Quarrington is a lovely purpose-built practice, with large prep and theatre areas that consist of 2 dedicated sterile theatres, a non-sterile theatre, and a dedicated X-ray room. They have a separate dog, cat, and exotic ward.

The practice is well equipped with the hope we can expand to CT or MRI in the future.

We have a lovely day team which you will be liaising with for handovers. The team consists of 3 Vets, a Head Nurse, a Student Nurse, Registered Nurses, Patient Care Assistants, and a Client Care Assistant.
