Veterinary Surgeon - Barrow in Furness, Cumbria

The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Alexander Vets. The successful applicant will carry out consultations, operations, and some sole charge. We offer a friendly supportive team environment, with medical and clinical freedom, decent varied caseload and encouragement to pursue additional certificates.

You would be required to work a 38 hour week over 4 days plus 1:3 Saturday mornings, no out of hours work is required. We welcome both full and part time applications for this role. The salary for this role is up to £57,500 depending on experience. We also offer a relocation allowance up to £5000 and a welcome bonus of up to £1500.

About Us

Based on the outskirts of the Lake District, we are a well-established and popular small animal practice who enjoys working at high standards.

We have a friendly, experienced and supportive team of 3 vets and recently benefitted from a full refurbishment. We have all the usual equipment including digital x-ray and ultra sound machine, laser therapy machine and in house blood facilities. Our client base is largely insured, so we can provide case work-ups to the highest standard.

Applicant Requirements

We require an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with 2 or more years’ experience who can work as part of a team, but also comfortably sole charge. We are seeking a friendly, positive, proactive work attitude to work.
