Your role and responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join the vibrant night team working in our busy, purpose-built clinic that is fully equipped with the surgical equipment and diagnostic facilities commensurate with a flagship specialist veterinary centre.
As a Night Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in all our wards, including surgery, medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, feline, and ICU. You will also be involved with the care of emergencies admitted out of hours. Night Nurses are allocated to a ward for the duration of their set of shifts which will allow you to get to know your patients and recognise changes in their condition.
You will work alongside a team of Nurses, nursing assistants and Interns with a Specialist from each department on call.
No two nights are the same! This makes working nights interesting and challenging with generous time off, giving a good work-life balance.
Please note that there is both a part-time & full-time position available, working 12-hour shifts from 6.30 pm to 6.30 am. Shift pattern to be discussed at interview.
You will have excellent all-around nursing skills, with a passion and drive for delivering outstanding patient care. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a supportive working environment whilst also being able to use your initiative and challenge the status quo. Referral nursing experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
As you would expect from the UK’s largest private veterinary referral hospital, we offer an inspiring and friendly working environment together with career development opportunities and an attractive benefits package.
If you share our passion for delivering excellence, trust and care then we would love to hear from you.
Due to our location and this being a night time role, it is advisable that you have access to your own transport and live within a reasonable distance from the practice.
