Here at Vale Vets, we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team. This is a full-time position with a range of shifts, the earliest starting at 7.30am and the latest finishing at 10pm. Weekend rota 1:8 with time off in lieu. Minimal on-call. PT applicants welcome. Salary £21,000- 25,000 pro rata in line with your level of experience. The role will include rotating through wards and theatre with an opportunity to also experience our referral disciplines including surgery, medicine, ophthalmology and cardiology. We will welcome applications from RVNs of all experience levels, as full training will be provided to ensure you can successfully develop your clinical skills in a supportive, welcoming environment.
Vale Vets & Referrals have recently completed a £1million refurbishment and development program to provide new facilities and equipment for the team,, to ensure that we can continually improve the services and standards of care we can provide to our clients and patients. This includes brand new ward areas, prep room, theatres and medicine facilities. We also provide onsite CT scanning for our patients. We have a team of 8 specialist clinicians in referrals and 7 first opinion vets. Our nursing team is currently 24 strong, with many holding additional qualifications and certificates which provides great learning opportunities for other members of the team. We have mental health first aiders on site, and take a proactive approach in ensuring the personal wellbeing and professional development of our nurses.
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who is keen to develop their clinical skills via rotating through different first opinion and referral disciplines, who works well within a close team structure as well as taking the initiative to work independently as needed. The role would be perfect for RVNs interested in exploring the referral sector, as you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting cases with full support from your fellow nurses and vets.
