Company

The Abbey Veterinary Group was first established over a century ago and has been serving the agricultural, equine and pet owning communities of Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and North Ayrshire ever since. We are a two centre practice based in Canal Street, Paisley and in Murdieston Street, Greenock. Treatment of all species is undertaken. Our main interest is the care and welfare of our patients, whether they are cattle, sheep, horses, cats, dogs, rabbits, or the ever increasing number of small mammals and exotic pets, We are available to our clients for advice on all healthcare matters.

Our facilities include an operating suite and hospitalisation wards allowing for observation of critical cases. Our Ward areas can accommodate patients in individual heated kennels, with separate areas for cats, for isolation of patients if necessary, and for those in need of intensive care. A dedicated nurse is responsible for the hospital wards.

We are an RCVS accredited practice. This means we have passed rigorous inspections to ensure we have met a very high standard of hygiene, 24-hour emergency cover, staff training, certain types of equipment and cost estimation procedures.
