About Us

The Pets’n’Vets Family are an award-winning group of small animal practices that have been serving Glasgow and the surrounding areas for 50 years.  Our sites are based in Blantyre, Hairmyres, Crookfur, Queens Park, Queen Margaret Drive & Scotstoun. We are equally proud of our purpose-built Veterinary Roundhouse Hospital in Glasgow’s Southside, providing both primary care and referral surgery services year-round.

We currently have an amazing opportunity to welcome a dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeon and there has never been a better time to join us!

Who we are looking for

You will work between our Hairmyres and Blantyre practices. You will also have regular rota’d days working within the Roundhouse Hospital allowing you to follow more advanced cases and have direct access to the wonderful services and facilities within the hospital.

This position will suit an experienced vet who thrives on being part of a supportive team and on building rapport with our longstanding client base, providing a high level of clinical care for our patients. For those looking to expand their case load and be part of developing a new phase of services in our established clinics, this is a perfect opportunity.

About the Team

We have a wonderful, friendly team at Pets’n’Vets and any new associates will be warmly welcomed. As a team we all support each other, with regular clinical and whole team meetings. The team are all passionate, dedicated veterinary professionals who pride themselves on offering high standards of care, while identifying areas to further improve. Our large Vet team includes a variety of different experience levels and includes certificate holders in Surgery, ECC, Cardiology and Medicine. You will also be supported by experienced Nursing, PCA, Reception and Admin teams.

We actively encourage professional development, so please do speak to us about any professional interests or goals that you may have. If mentoring is something that you really enjoy, we have ample opportunity to be involved with this at Pets’n’Vets too! This is a fantastic opportunity to join two branch sites at the start of their expansion chapter. You will have the opportunity to have a real impact in the services the branches offer and their future.

Pets’n’Vets are delighted to be part of Linnaeus with almost 180 sites across the UK and Ireland. We are part of a growing community of like-minded veterinary professionals who are passionate about what they do. There are lots of career progression opportunities available such as leadership and mentorship roles within Pets’n’Vets, as well as opportunities to move into clinical and non-clinical roles within the wider group. Together, we are able to provide the highest standards in pet care and achieve our collective Purpose: A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS.

Company

The Pets'n'Vets Family is an award winning network of neighbourhood Veterinary Practices in and around Scotland’s largest City, Glasgow.

We have been providing independent Veterinary care to our community for the last 45 years and over that time have become a local institution; known not only for our excellent Veterinary care but also for our sense of humour!

As a practice we have never stood still, far from it!

We have been described as one of the UK's most progressive Veterinary Groups with many exciting 'firsts' - our amazing collaborative "new.graduate Programme", our fabulous client Members Scheme, (where among other things we invited all our clients to the cinema to see a Pets’n’Vets Family screening of "The Secret Life of Pets") our awesome ambulances and of course, our brand new state-of-the-art Veterinary Hospital, The Roundhouse!

We are proud of many things; being voted "Glasgow's Favourite Business, 2015",  our new 'Super Practice', the Roundhouse with its exceptional kit list including full orthopaedic, endoscopy, laparoscopy and arthroscopy kits, digital dental X-ray and regular access to CT and of course we are very proud of our amazing Team! Vets and Nurses are encouraged to develop with in-house CPD as well as funded further study, this year we have a record number enrolled in Certificates!

Our ethos is a bit different too... we are, as a business, 100% "Clinically-lead", we rely on clinical markers rather than financial targets.  A robust "no sales" policy underlines that point and adds to the client feel.

We have always concentrated on what we are best at - Excellent Veterinary Care!
