Registered Veterinary Nurse

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinic Nurse to join us at Vale Referrals in Dursley! You will help with the running of first opinion only nurse clinics, supporting consulting vets with POCs, vaccinations and new clients.

The shift pattern will be 11 am-7:30 pm but times are flexible to suit afternoon/evening consults. 40 hours across 5 days per week, working 8 hours (with a 30-minute lunch break). We are ideally looking for full time, but part-time applicants will be considered. You will be required to work 1:8 weekends and provide cover for 1 bank holiday, with TOIL.  

The salary for this role is £22,000-£26,000 depending on experience.

About Us

We are a mixed, first opinion and referral practice, boasting new, purpose-built facilities. We are dedicated to providing high-quality service and to help us deliver that, we are equipped with 9 consulting rooms including a condolence room and a dedicated nurse clinic room, new waiting rooms with a separate cat area and a cat consulting room. We are currently in the process of renewing ISFM status.

The successful candidate will be joining our friendly team of 8 first opinion vets, 9 referral vets, 25 registered veterinary nurses, 4 student veterinary nurses, 8 HA’s and 2 dispensary assistants as well as 7 receptionists

Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a creative and passionate nurse who can bring experience in a new area of interest to the team (diabetic clinics, geriatrics, behaviour, obesity etc.)

You will be RCVS registered. Nursing clinic experience desirable. We are looking for someone with great communication skills and a desire to provide excellent patient and customer care. There is a CPD allowance and certificates are encouraged.
