The role is full time, 4 days a week with a share of Saturday mornings between our two branch sites (Hythe and New Romney) on a 1:3 rota.

Salary
Salary for the role is up to £42,000 per annum depending on experience.

About Us
Barrow Hill Veterinary Group is made up of our flagship hospital and our two branch practices in Hythe and New Romney. We offer premium veterinary services to the South Kent region whilst taking referrals from other IVC Evidensia practices in the local area. Our branch practices are well equipped for the day to day cases which present but also some of the more challenging cases. Our hospital is staffed with veterinary surgeons and RVNs studying certificates in ECC, Anaesthesia, Medicine, Surgery and Diagnostic Imaging.

Team and Culture
Our group is made up of up to 12 full time vets and 24 nurses (18 RVNs, 4 SVNs and 2 kennel assistants). All our practices work hard to strive for excellence but in a relaxed environment. Many of our staff have been in place for years and are passionate about providing excellent customer and patient care.

Applicant Requirements
We are looking for veterinary surgeons with at least 3-4 years clinical experience, and at least one year's UK experience. Additional post-graduate qualification would be beneficial but not a pre-requisite. Company

  1. We will price match vaccinations; we know that times are hard and if you find a vaccine cheaper than ours within a ten mile radius we will match that price.
  2. We can perform keyhole surgery including bitch spays. We are one of only a tiny handful of practices that offer this operation in Kent. Keyhole surgery means smaller wounds, faster recovery and a lower risk of complications.
  3. Many of our patients and their owners have been coming to us for many years and some still come to us from many miles away. We were established over one hundred years ago.
