Company

Provost Vets have been caring for animals since 1999. Before this, when known as Orr, Duff and Howat, the vet practice had been a trusted partner for our many long-term clients since the early 1980’s.

24-hour vet care is provided by our own staff, enabling us to maintain a personal knowledge of our clients and their animals.

We aim to provide value for money, with competitive pricing structures which reflect the quality of the professional service we provide. Estimates are always available prior to work being undertaken. We run a great value Healthy Pets scheme to cover the routine healthcare of pets at a significant discount, with payments collected conveniently by direct debit.

We supply a wide range of vet medicines as well as pet foods and accessories from our clinics.

From our three clinics, based strategically across East Fife, we provide a comprehensive service across the area.

Our St Andrews clinic was purpose-built as a dedicated small animal facility, opening in December 2000. This is where we hospitalise small animal in-patients and where any more complex cases from the other branches go for a full work-up. We have modern laboratory and imaging equipment on site to give our vets the back-up they need to care for pets.

Our Ladybank clinic was designed and built in 2005 as a combined small animal clinic and the base for our large animal vets. We have on-site facilities for horses, including stocks and stables, as well as a high powered x-ray system, backed up by digital processing. For dogs and cats we can undertake routine surgical and dental cases as well as regular consultations.   There will not always be a vet on site, and all consultations are by appointment.

The Newport-on-Tay clinic sits conveniently on the High Street of this busy little town. We can undertake routine surgical and dental cases here, as well as a variety of consulting times to suit our clients.

All three clinics are registered with – and inspected by – our governing body, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in their Practice Standards Scheme.
