My client in Devon is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team at their truly independent mixed practice.
They are hoping to find a new vet to grow our team as the practice expands. They pride themselves on a pragmatic caring approach, and being part of our local community.
This is a new position, creating a team of 6 full time and 2 part time vets, with 17 other support staff. You will work an equally shared 1:6 rota, with a genuine 50:50 large and small animal mix.
Large animal work is mainly beef and sheep with a mix of large commercial farms and small holders, with some equine work.
Small animal work is performed mainly at their newly refurbished and extended premises which has all the usual toys, including direct digital radiography. The vets cover branch surgeries on an equal rota, and are encouraged to follow their own cases up where possible.
Working a 4.5-day week, this client does their own, usually quiet, out of hours work, on an equally shared rota, with a 3-day weekend off after every weekend on call. A van or car can be provided depending on the applicant’s preference. RCVS and BVA fees are paid and CPD is encouraged and funded, in addition to salary.
A confident newly qualified vet, keen to take part in all aspects of mixed practice with the support of experienced colleagues, a direct mentor, and enrolment on a new graduate specific CPD programme would be welcomed at our Vetsure approved graduate friendly practice.
Salary package starts at £32,000 for new graduates and is negotiable based on experience and skills for the right applicant.
