The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team here at Manor Vets!

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic night owl to join our team. You will work 1 week of days, 1 week of nights and then a week off.

On your night week you will work alongside the night vet to triage calls, assist the vet with any emergencies and care for inpatients in the hospital. We provide OOH cover for 7 branches at the main Halesowen hospital. During your day week you will be involved in all aspects of nursing, including, theatre, lab, inpatients, and consultations

About Us

We have 6 branches in and around the Birmingham area. We very lucky that we are only a short drive from Birmingham city centre, but also some beautiful rural areas such as the Clent hills and Kinver Edge. Luckily we have lots to offer our patients, with an onsite CT scanner at the main hospital in Halesowen and access to a MRI scanner when needed. We have K-laser, ultrasound, dental x-ray, endoscopy, digital x-ray and a full complement of support staff to allow our nurses to be very hands on within their role.

We have vets that hold certificates in Imaging, Surgery, Cardiology and Medicine and nurses that have certificates in ECC, Feline medicine and Exotics and zoo animals. We actively encourage continual development and will support you with further qualifications.

We have 26 vets, 25 RVNs, 7 SVNs, 12 Vet auxiliaries, 16 receptionists and a fantastic administrative team. We work closely with a lot of local charities to ensure the animals in their care get the medical attention that they need.

The Candidate

We are seeking a confident and competent RVN that enjoys working as part of a large and dynamic team- ideally with a particular interest in night work or a certificate in ECC.

Welcome to Manor Vets Seven Days a Week

Our practice is based on mutual trust and respect, offering support, compassion and genuine care, and involving you in all decisions about your pet.

Our team can advise you how to keep your pet as healthy as possible, using safe and effective preventative medicines.

All our surgeries are air conditioned, and we regularly invest in the very best modern veterinary diagnostic instruments, x-ray, laboratory, anaesthetic and surgical equipment. This means your pet will receive the best possible care and treatment.

There are seventeen full time and three part time veterinary surgeons across our four sites. They share their vast knowledge of the latest treatments through frequent meetings. We also have consulting veterinary nurses at all sites. And from February 2012 we are open 24 hours at our Halesowen site. Our own vets and nurses work through the night looking after our hospital patients as well as dealing with urgent cases and surgical emergencies that might arise.

Leading Midlands Veterinary Practice

In short, we have superb levels of equipment, facilities and veterinary knowledge,  so that we are considered one of the leading first opinion practices in the Midlands. Manor Vets has been approved as a centre for the training of veterinary nurses and is an RCVS accredited practice.
