An exiting opportunity has arisen for an Head RVN to join our team at our Newcastle-Under-Lyme practice.     

As a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better.

Strong mentorship and support will be available to help you develop your career and get the most satisfaction from your role. You will have the opportunity form part of a community of Head nurses, a platform which activity promotes the sharing of ideas and suggestions with other head nurses within the region.

Clinical coach experience would be desirable, with a passion to support and develop future student nurses whilst leading by example. You will be fully supported within your move and we will offer full management training through our dedicated in-house Head Veterinary Nurse development program.

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week with 1:3 Saturdays at Newcastle-under-lyme.

Branch:

Newcastle-under-Lyme is a large market town and the administrative centre of the Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire. The town and surrounding area have many entertainment attractions and is home to the New Vic Theatre, Europe’s first purpose-built theatre-in-the-round.

The practice itself is a general practice boasting a double theatre, large prep room, separate cat and dog kennels, ultrasound and x-ray, a full lab suite and spacious staff room. You will be leading a team of two RVN's, one SVN, one PCA and a receptionist alongside the lead vet. The practice is a three vet practice which works closely supporting its sister practices in Stoke and Rocester.
