Registered Veterinary Nurse

The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available at Sanders Vets for a Registered Veterinary Nurse!

Day to day duties can include nurse consults, monitoring of anaesthetics, recovering surgical patients and managing/medicating in patients, cleaning kennels/cattery, assisting consulting vets and schedule 3 procedures.
 
You will work 40 hours across 5 days, with varying shifts, for example; 8 am – 4 pm, 9:30 am – 7:30 pm, 11:30 am – 7:30 pm. No weekend or out of hour work.
 
The salary for this role is up to £24,000 depending on experience.
 
About Us
Sanders is a small animal practice in Pontnewydd, with good local transport links including a train station. We have all the usual toys including; digital x-ray, ultrasound including a cardiac and linear probe, endoscopy, 2 theatre tables, spacious kennels and separate cattery, dental procedure room and isolation kennels.

Our friendly team is made up of 2 full time and 2 part time veterinary surgeons - one who is a certificate holder in diagnostic imaging, 5 registered veterinary nurses and one kennel assistant.

We are looking for someone who is an enthusiastic team player and will use their initiative around the practice and has an interest in the clinical coaching of a student veterinary nurse.
 
Applicant Requirements
Registered Veterinary Nurse qualifications required. We would ideally like a candidate who would be happy to train a student veterinary nurse, however, this is not mandatory. Our ideal applicant will be confident in all key skills of nursing, including client communication, nurse consultations, anaesthesia monitoring and schedule 3 procedures and has excellent patient care.
