The Canine Medicine department are looking to employ a Registered Veterinary Nurse. This is a fixed term, full time contract.

The successful candidate will work alongside a friendly team of nurses and animal care assistants who are passionate in providing gold standard care. Our caseload involves nursing patients from a selection of the hospital departments including chronic medicine, acute medicine, oncology and cardiology.

As a medicine department we carry out a variety of investigations which includes endoscopy. We have up to date scopes and imaging facilities which the candidate will receive full training on to allow support of the clinicians with their workups.

We are a busy service so the ideal candidate will work well under pressure and be happy to work independently when required.

We are looking for a nurse with at least one year’s experience working as qualified.

You will be involved with teaching and supervision of Veterinary and Veterinary Nursing undergraduates on clinical rotations, so a certain level of confidence is required to be able to instruct and support them as necessary.

Participation on a weekend rota is necessary.
