Veterinary Surgeon

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Easipetcare, Streatham!

The role provides a varied consulting caseload that will allow the less experienced to hone their skills and will keep the experienced vet stimulated. Surgery is on a rotational basis within the team with an interesting mix of soft tissue surgery, imaging and dentistry planned for surgical days, this is supported by an experienced nursing team. Time is allocated for admin daily, which allows you to concentrate on your patients during consult time without the pressure of needing to squeeze admin in between. Teamwork is very important to us and we encourage knowledge-sharing on cases to ensure good patient outcomes. We are supported by VetCT tele-radiology as well as unlimited VetCT telemedicine support for those trickier cases.
 
Rota
40 hours over 4 or 5 days per week, working a combination of early shifts (8 am – 4.30 pm) and late shifts (11 am – 7.30 pm) 1:3 Saturday mornings, no out of hours required.
 
Salary ranges from £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience together with a bonus scheme. A relocation package is offered with this role.
 
About Us
Easipetcare Streatham is a first opinion practice based within a 5 min walk from Norbury train station. We operate on an appointment-only basis.

Our equipment includes: 2 consult rooms, dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room, modern theatre and prep area, in-house lab, dental machine, light large and airy consult rooms, separate cattery and kennels, and staff kitchen and lounge. We also have the tools for basic orthopaedics available for suitably experienced candidates.
 
About the Team and Culture
Our practice is made up of 3 vets, with 2 registered veterinary nurses and support from our wonderful reception team and dedicated Practice Principal. We very much focus on our team's wellbeing and our lovely Practice Principal frequently provides costa coffee and cakes for our staff.
 
Applicant Requirements
Our ideal candidate would be experienced, and RCVS registered. Excellent communication skills are required together with strong surgical skills and the ability to meet deadlines. We require a motivated individual with a focus on delivering exceptional service to our clients.
