SJ Hales are a friendly, family-run, independent, established small animal practice with a relaxed working atmosphere and a strong culture of training, combined with encouraging the development of new skills.
We try to combine old-fashioned values of customer service and continuity of care, with current scientific thinking and diagnostic tools. We are supportive of students and new graduates and are open to new ideas and we firmly believe in establishing long-term relationships, whether they be clients, staff, suppliers or contractors.
We run slightly over-staffed so that we can provide our own holiday and sickness cover, and we believe staff should enjoy their work. We feel that satisfaction of a job well done should motivate – so to that end we run long consultation times (typically 20-30 min sometimes longer), with the aim of doing a complete job "right first time" for our clients. We access specialist expertise regularly and at an early stage to ensure that our clients and their pets receive optimum care.
Leamington Spa is renowned for its natural springs which led to it being developed as a fashionable health resort during the 19th-century. Today a thriving commercial and retail centre, it is well laid out and possesses some fine Georgian and Victorian architecture as well as some notable historic buildings, including the Royal Pump Room built in 1814. It is a good base from which to explore the surrounding area.
