An exciting opportunity has arisen due to a change of role for one of our vets in 2022. Working three days per week, in our RCVS accredited Hackney branch in East London, you will be joining our network of London first opinion branches. Our practice has been open for over 25 years and has built a strong local reputation with many bonded clients some of whom have been with us for many years.

The practice boasts two consulting rooms, a large prep and theatre area, separate cat and dog wards, and a well utilised lab area. We continue to invest in clinical equipment to ensure we have the best equipment for patient care and have further exciting investment plans for our Hackney practice.

We are supported by Wanstead 24-hour Hospital, so have the advantage of referring our emergency cases within only a short travelling distance for our clients. You will be a vet who enjoys a lively, fast-paced environment where no two days will be the same. You will be working alongside our two permanent vets and a supportive team of Nurses, Student Nurses, and Veterinary Care Assistants. You will be a vet that can manage your time and prioritise your caseload well. Confidence in routine surgery and working up medical cases will be your passion. If you are keen to develop your skills either clinically or surgically, we will be keen to support you with CPD. Our ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and have a proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, putting their pets at the centre of every decision. We are looking for someone who can fit into our welcoming and good-humoured practice culture, where we believe life is better with pets.

In return, we can offer a salary of £40,000 – £60,000 (pro-rata for part-time roles) depending on experience. The role is 3 days per week in branch with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota. There is no night work or OOH responsibilities. The Goddard Veterinary Group offers a minimum of £2000 CPD allowance and sees CPD as an investment in the individual as well as for the practice and is keen to support study for certificate qualifications.
