Veterinary Surgeon required to join our team at Spinney Vets, Northampton.

Join our friendly, experienced, supportive and dedicated vet team at Spinney Vets. We provide an excellent rota which gives our associates a great work/life balance to explore the fabulous countryside around the historic town. Northampton is a large town with great road and rail links to both London and Birmingham within one hour. Beautiful countryside on the doorstep and the town is surrounded by pretty villages with an abundance of country parks and pleasant places for dog walking, running, hiking or cycling. There is also a wide range of pubs and restaurants in the local area too.

You will be working with our team of well-established Vets, Nurses, Customer Care team and Patient Care Assistants. Spinneys Vets has two branches, a large, well-equipped RCVS accredited hospital and recently expanded GP accredited surgery.  We have certificate holders in Surgery and ECC and vets with special interest in Orthopaedics, Laparoscopy, Dentistry, Rabbit medicine, Ophthalmology and Dermatology. As a team we are always happy to collaborate with each other with complicated cases, or support a colleague should they want to progress more in a certain role.

The ideal candidate will be experienced and confident in both general surgery and medicine with exceptional communication skills. Someone who is friendly and keen to be part of a great team is essential. We actively encourage all of our associates to take CPD in their chosen area and we have lead nurses now developing the nursing roles in the team which is something we are extremely proud of.  For all your hard work, we offer generous time off following in patient duties.

Rota

• 4 day week
• No OOHs calls (provided by Vets Now) 
• Inpatient rota includes:
• 1:8 weeknights
• 2:8 Saturdays
• 1:8 full weekend
