Veterinary Surgeon

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our Padiham branch. Padiham is a  busy consulting only branch which forms part of our 19 surgery network. The ideal candidate should be happy to work sole charge and be focused on delivering first class health and client care. You would be required to work a 40 hour week over 5 days, 9.30am – 6pm Mon. Operating time is given through the working week at our main hospital at Clayton Le Dale. You would  work closely alongside nurses at this branch.

There is an option for no OOHs role with this role or working alongside our ECC clinicians in conjunction with Vets Now were we see a varied case load from across Lancashire. There is ample opportunity to develop your ECC skills in a mentored and supported environment. day to Friday;

Both full time and part time applications will be considered for this role with part time flexible shifts also available. Salary £36000-50000.

We also offer up to £5000 relocation allowance and up to £1500 welcome bonus

About Us

We are a large practice group consisting of 19 practices with an RCVS hospital at Clayton Le Dale. The branches feed the surgical case load to the hospital. We provide 24-hour emergency care to our clients and other IVC practices in the area. We have a large Vet team with a good mix of new graduates and experienced Vets. We actively encourage further study and have certificate holders in Surgery, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and Internal medicine. We have in house CT, endoscopy, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and multiple Idexx lab machines.

Applicant Requirements

This role would suit either a new graduate or an experienced Vet. There is a good and varied case load at Bacup and you have the added advantage of being able to refer more complicated cases to our hospital. An interest in consulting and client care would be advantageous and CPD is actively encouraged. Excellent communication skills are essential.
