Registered Veterinary Nurse - Stroud, Gloucestershire

We are looking for a positive and hardworking Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team at Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital. Our fantastic clinical team consists of 10 vets, 14 nurses, 4 VCA’s and students. The practice is located in the beautiful Cotswolds, close to Cheltenham, Bristol and Bath.

You will join the nursing team in providing excellent patient and client care. The work load will be varied across the practice to include all aspects of nursing e.g. in-patient care, theatre and nurse clinics. You will be part of the weekend rota with time off given in lieu.

Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital is a teaching practice, where nurses are encouraged to provide clinical coaching for our students. We actively support our team in pursuing areas that are of interest to them and offer generously funded CPD.

Clockhouse is a friendly, warm and staff orientated practice. We work closely together interdepartmentally, and support our staff in reaching their career goals. We foster open communication and carry out regular meetings practice wide and openly encourage engagement and ideas from all team members. We welcome full or part time applicants. We are a high standard first opinion team that fully works up medical cases and performs advanced surgical procedures e.g. TTA, perineal urethrostomy and laparoscopic procedures. The hospital is well equipped with laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, radiography, echocardiography and on site lab with brand new biochemistry and haematology machines. The team includes certificate holders and those currently working towards certificates. We are supported by a local referral hospital nearby where CT and advice is readily available.

You must be an RVN with a great work ethic. You must work well in a team, be confident with sole charge (ooh weekends) and have a friendly and proactive approach. Two year plus registered experience preferred, as are cake making skills!
