Job Details
We are seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our wonderful practice in Stoke Newington, North London.
This role works to our 4-day week and would suit a good all-rounder who enjoys general practice. Here, you will be supported by a network of colleagues with a plethora of expertise!
We work as a unit – as one team. In each region there’s a network of practices working together, with a 24-hour hospital at their centre. We call this our hub-and-spoke model, and it’s unique to us. It allows our vets to get support with cases, refer their patients and share expertise and equipment between practices.
Our team at Stoke Newington have a fantastic culture and camaraderie and we are seeking a like-minded person to led and drive the practice forward with the support of our Head Nurse, SVN, VCA and Receptionist.
Full time salary package up to £57,369 per annum depending on experience to include:
- 5 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays
- 4 weeks' paid sabbatical (after each 5 years of service)

The Branch
Stoke Newington is one of our Zasman Vet branches and have been part of the Medivet family since 2018!
It is a well-equipped with both digital x-ray and dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser and diathermy.
We are active in the local community and have a fantastic client base, both cultivated and personable. The team see many puppies, kittens and young cats.
The practice feeds into our Kensington 24-Hour Hospital for all out of hour care, where we have a dedicated night team and have an ambulance service in the region for patients to be hospitalised.
Not familiar with the area? The surgery is situated near a large park, Clissold Park, just 10 minutes walk from Canonbury Overground Station. It has a lovely village feel - lots of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants on our doorstep!
